Respect Workshop available
The acclaimed, free course teaches school
professionals how to promote sexual health
among LGBTQ students.
APA has released an online version of its highly
successful Respect Workshop: Preventing Health Risks
and Promoting Health Outcomes among Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ)
Students. Aimed at school professionals, the course
seeks to promote sexual health and responsibility and
prevent HIV infection, other sexually transmitted
infections and pregnancy among LGBTQ students.
It discusses how to provide direct services and use
school-based practices that promote sexual health and
responsibility among LGBTQ students.

oversees several book and video series, including monographs,
clinical titles, reference works, the highly acclaimed APA
Psychotherapy Video program and the award-winning Magination
Press children’s imprint.
Candidates should have an advanced degree in the behavioral
sciences and a minimum of 15 years’ experience serving the broad
field of psychology. Candidates are expected to have extensive author
contacts in the behavioral sciences and a deep understanding of all
research and practice areas of psychology.
