Adult Galleys to
Grab
BY LOUISA ERMELINO
It’s BEA time again, and we can’t wait—for all of it:
the tote bags, the crowds snaking through the aisles
for James Patterson’s latest, the cafeteria food,
the bathroom lines, the name tags, the debut authors
dizzy with success, and, most of all, the coveted
galleys. Below is a selection of the titles that publishers
are bringing to the fair to build some buzz among
booksellers, librarians, bloggers, and the rest of us
who live and breathe publishing. Also, this year sees
the debut of BookCon, on day three of the fair, which
will allow consumers to mix with their favorite authors
and, yes, pick up some galleys.
ALGONQUIN
Hundreds of galleys of three titles will be
up for grabs: The High Divide by Lin
Enger and The Remedy for Love by
Bill Roorbach, 500 of each; and 400 of
The Happiest People in the World by
Brock Clarke.
