THE ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST
There used to be a competition among competitions in America—a secret war between promoters, clubs and local
groups—to see who could put on the toughest race in the U.S.
The rest of the world didn’t really understand, but American
riders who participated in Blackwater, the Moose Run, the
Check Chase and a few other infamous races considered it a
badge of honor just to finish.
Times have changed, however, and now the rest of the world
is in on the act. There’s a new breed of racing called, for lack
of a better term, “Extreme Enduro,” and these races aren’t
designed to be fun for the masses. Several countries host
these elite forms of competition that can only be attempted by
the best riders in the world, and America has answered with its
own version of Extreme Enduros. If you were to combine all of
these events with traditional, long-distance races like the ISDE
and Dakar, which are challenging in their own right, you could
have a series of races that would comprise the ultimate season
of torture, endurance and achievement in the dirt bike world.
Here’s how the ugliest racing schedule in the world would look.

participates in the Red Bull Hard Enduro
races. He loves them, but not everyone has
the ability to love them.
