ANOTHER GREAT PLATE
If you’re driving around Nebraska
and happen to see a truck with this
plate, smile and wave to Tim Leinart.
He’s one of the good folks who make
ATV riding such a great sport.
MAJOR FUN IN THE MUD
One of the best parts about attending any High Lifter Mud Nationals
event is checking out the awesome
machines that enthusiasts build. We
found these three radically modified
Polaris’ roaming around the event
and decided to snap some photos.
In our next issue there will be a full
write-up and a bunch of cool shots
of each of these builds, so you will
know exactly what it takes to create mud-slinging masterpieces like
these. Keep a lookout in your mailbox or on the shelves for our August
READER’S HONDA TRX250R
Roger Soles has been a Dirt
Wheels subscriber for many years
in Arkansas, so we figured it was
time to investigate his favorite quad.
His 250R has a fully built motor from
LRD, and it’s housed in a second-generation Arens frame. It’s set up for
XC racing with TCS front shocks, a
Axis rear shock, Roll Design A-arms
and swingarm, Arens steering stem,
Graves seat and Mint OEM plastic.
Roger made the transition from 450Rs
and says he is now addicted to two-strokes. He has been amazed by all
of the good people he’s met who’re
dedicated to preserving Honda
ASSAULT ON THE RACING
Assault Industries makes a lot
of aftermarket parts for UTVs that
include mirrors, steering wheels, fire
extinguisher systems and more. This
Polaris RZR has been highly modified from the ground up to compete
in desert racing. PRP seats, King
off-road shocks with Cognito A-arms,
Vision X lighting and much, much
more has been installed on this RZR.
You don’t need a machine this well
built to have a lot of fun, but the
upgrades help you go faster with
better safety and more control.
