Amanda Clarno loves restoring old Honda ATCs, and here are the two latest ones she spent a year working on. On the left is her
1986 ATC250R and on the right is her 1986 ATC350X. Along with bringing three-wheelers back to life, Amanda also enjoys riding
them at the Oregon Dunes.
Here is Steve Klopping’s ATC500R
that he recently built. It has a Honda
CR500 frame, radiators and aftermarket
gas tank. The rear subframe is from a
ATC250R so that the seat and rear fenders would fit properly. The + 12 swingarm was added for drag racing up sand
dunes, and the CT drag pipe helps for
that as well. The cylinder was re-sleeved
to accept a 89mm Pro-X piston. The
front end is from an ATC250R. Steve’s
buddy, Bryan Witt, helped with this project, and they’re both proud to ride it in
the Arizona area.
Here is Seth Riggins’ favorite machine
for riding the old logging trails and
creek beds of Broken Bow in Oklahoma.
The big V-twin powerplant of his 2004
Kawasaki KFX700 still gets the job done,
and he proudly keeps it in good shape. q
