With the most experienced robotic surgeons in the tristate area, this practice continues
to lead in the use of the daVinci® High Definition Surgical System. Having pioneered the
robotic prostatectomy in 2001, the practice now employs the cutting-edge technology suc-
cessfully to treat kidney cancer (partial nephrectomy) and bladder cancer (radical cystec-
tomy), and to provide reconstructive surgery for female incontinence. “With our vast expe-
rience even the most complex cases can be handled with minimally invasive procedures
enabled by using robotics,” says Dr. Mutahar Ahmed, a partner in the practice. “The most
complicated cases are routine for us because this is what we do every day.”
The New Jersey Center for Prostate Cancer & Urology, which also includes Drs. Lanteri,
Esposito, Lovallo, Patel and Christiano, has received multiple Top Doctor recognitions from
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. and New Jersey Monthly. The group has completed more
