Porsche 962, 1984-’ 91
Like almost every other Porsche racing car produced
in any numbers, the 962 dominated worldwide
racing in the late ’80s. A development of the 956, it
won four-straight IMSA titles from 1985-’ 88.
01 Ferrari 33SP, 1994-2000
Where the Riley & Scott was perhaps more
successful, the Ferrari wins the WSC beauty
contest. But it was certainly successful in its own
right, taking overall wins at Daytona and Sebring
along with a class victory at Le Mans.
02 Mazda RX-792P, 1992

entry was an utter failure. But in an era of slab-sided Nissans and Toyotas, the RX-792p was
stunningly gorgeous. And, in its day, the sound
was from out of this wold.
